I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Board Certified Counselor. I have a passion for empowering children, adolescents, and adults to feel functional, hopeful, supported, and welcomed in a safe therapeutic environment. I believe in the power of meaningful connection, focusing on strengths, creating resiliency, and practicing self-compassion. I also am of the mindset that we are connected through our mind, body, and soul. It’s an honor to meet individuals, who share about their lives, and work together to learn coping strategies to help with day-to-day challenges, regulate emotions, establish healthy boundaries, work towards healing and inner peace, achieve short-term and long-term goals, and grow in self-acceptance.

I received an M.Ed. from Liberty University and a B.S. in Psychology from Florida State University. As a former certified school counselor, I have worked with children and parents and I understand the school setting and can help children struggling socially, emotionally, and/or behaviorally through life stressors. I also worked at another counseling center in Woodstock, Georgia prior to joining Focus Forward Counseling & Consulting in 2024. My client age group is 5 to adult. I specialize in helping children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety and panic, depression, ADHD and other neurodevelopment disorders, identity challenges, trauma, grief, family changes, and Christian Counseling upon request. Using CBT and DBT, I help clients create goals that will lead to effective change. I also use person-centered therapy and I believe in personalizing my approach for every client to help them reach their goals and needs and discover the value and worth that each individual possesses.

I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship and believe that the therapeutic trust and rapport between  a counselor and client is crucial. I am passionate about supporting and walking along side children, adolescents, and adults and help support them through the peaks and valleys of life. It takes bravery to take the first step and reach out for help and I commend you for doing so! I would be blessed to serve and work together with you or your child.
