Tamiya Bobb, A.P.C.
Associate Professional Counselor
About Me:
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to supporting
you in your journey toward personal growth and healing. I believe that therapy is a collaborative
process where we work together to uncover insights, build coping skills, and foster positive
change. I am passionate about fostering trust, safety, and therapeutic relationships with my
clients. It is always an honor and a privilege to be able to create a safe space for you to share
your stories, even the stories that are hidden. I place importance on strength building and
compassion as it aids in the growth of being able to recover from setbacks, viewing them as
opportunities for growth rather than failures and to alleviate your pain or troubles.
I hold a master’s in education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Georgia
and received my undergraduate degree in criminology from University of West Georgia. I have
had the privilege of working with diverse populations, each with unique challenges and goals.
My experience spans various settings, including college, high schools, child advocacy center,
and a treatment program for populations with co-occurring disorders which has equipped me
with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of human behavior and mental health.
I have experience working with families, children, teens, and adults and assisting them with
navigating a variety of presenting problems including depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict,
trauma, and more.
Regarding my techniques and interventions, I utilize evidence-based modalities such as Person-
Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I know starting the journey
towards healing can be scary and intimidating. I am here for you, and I look forward to hearing
your story.
