For the Alpharetta office: 

POSITION TITLE: Licensed Professional Counselor

POSITION DUTIES: Provide counseling services to clients in an outpatient and private practice setting. Documentation of services by creating progress notes and entering it into the electronic health records system (Valant). Use DSM-5 to diagnose the client as appropriate and create treatment plans that help to provide a course for client counseling. Consult with the Clinical Director on a regular basis about counseling work performed. Engage in peer consultation with other staff members during regular staff meetings as well as informal peer to peer consultations. Research, refer and advocate for community resources. Monitor clients’ situations and follow up to ensure that they have improved. Help people cope with challenges in their lives. Work with clients to develop strategies to change behavior or cope with difficult situations.

Requires 5% domestic travel

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselor Education, Human Behavior, Clinical Mental Health Counsel, or related field and 4 years of experience in the principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance SKILLS SET REQUIREMENTS: Experience must include clinical and diagnostic assessment; Trauma informed case and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Electronic Health Record (EHR); Working knowledge and implementation of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) in clinical and diagnostic assessment; Serious Mental Illness (SMI)/Serious Emotional Disorder (SED) or Developmental Disabilities (DD); Record keeping in compliance with HIPAA and Code of Ethics that align with the American Counseling Association; an Assessing suicidal thoughts, self-harm behaviors and psychotic episodes. Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Mississippi or Georgia and
National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. (NBCC) Certificate.

RATE OF PAY: $52,500
