Welcome to your first steps! I am grateful for the opportunity to help you reach your goals. Mental health has always been my passion since I was in middle school and discovered how empowering it can be to focus on self-empathy and compassion. I received my undergraduate degree at Georgia State University, obtaining a degree in psychology. I then completed my Master's program in mental health counseling at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Throughout my experience in Massachusetts, I was fortunate enough to have a diverse collection of experiences. I have had the opportunity to work with individuals overcoming domestic violence, complex trauma and persistent mental illness, as well as individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, or an array of personality disorders.

I have been fortunate enough to work with a diverse group of clients from ages 5-55 from a variety of backgrounds. I have a passion for advocating for individuals from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds and LGBTQ+ identities. When I returned from Massachusetts, I began working in the school system and was able to work with students and their families to obtain their treatment goals. I am well-versed in group therapy as well as family therapy and enjoy assisting clients in obtaining their goals.

I work from a person-centered culturally competent, trauma-informed approach with experience with CBT, DBT, mindfulness, ACT, and solution-focused interventions. I utilize a collective approach because therapy is about you, your goals, and finding approaches that help you along the way.
