About Me
“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.””
-Confucius
This is a powerful message that embraces our ability as human beings to be resilient and to persevere through difficult times. It takes courage and strength to ask for help and to take that next step forward on your journey in life. My name is Michele Price, and I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been providing therapeutic services for the last 11 years. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from Kennesaw State University in 2008 and obtained my master’s degree in social work from the University of Georgia in 2013. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in social work from Tulane University.
My clients often say that I give them hope, and I believe that through the therapeutic process, you can find healing and inner peace. I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self and can share openly without fear. I value the therapeutic alliance, and meet clients where they are in life. I believe in taking a collaborative approach, and working together to help you achieve your goals.
I primarily specialize in treating functional neurological disorders (FND), specifically functional seizures (also known as PNES). In addition, I provide treatment for those who are experiencing stress, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, grief and loss, and co-occurring disorders. I believe in using a strengths-based approach to therapy, and I use a combination of evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I offer support to my clients in a variety of different ways, including helping them with processing things from their past, teaching them new coping skills, helping them to be more grounded and present in the moment, and finding ways to build up their self-esteem. Please feel free to reach out to me, and I look forward to working with you on your therapy journey!
