About Me
For over 20 years I have worked with people to help them work through and overcome their struggles in life. Over this time, I have gained a tremendous appreciation for the human spirit and one’s ability to strive for and experience positive change. We all have difficulties to overcome throughout our lives no matter who we are, and change is possible if it is desired.
I earned my Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Northern Arizona University and my Master’s degree in Humanistic and Existential Psychology from the University of West Georgia. My Bachelor’s degree in Psychology was earned from the University of Georgia. As a licensed psychologist since 1997, I have applied my knowledge and experience in a variety of settings including, prisons, inpatient psychiatric hospitals and private practice. Within my private practice I have worked primarily as a therapist as well as a consultant to police/public safety agencies, television networks and production companies.
I strive to help people learn how to effectively and positively alleviate their suffering and to experience contentment and happiness in their lives through the application of sound psychological principles combined with compassion, understanding and direction.
