About Me
Each person is entitled to the richest, best life possible. If circumstances or unexpected events diminish the quality of your life – they can be navigated. If injuries from the past interfere – they can be healed. If you are searching for a deeper understanding of you – we can explore your story together.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with the state of Georgia. I have been in the mental health care field for 11 years. I obtained my degree from Valdosta State University with a foundation in Psychodynamic Theory. My experience is from working; with a sober living residence, as a Certified Peer Specialist, in DFCS family preservation, in private practices, mobile crisis intervention, in community mental health. I have worked with families and individuals of all ages; providing group, family, and individual counseling.
Therapy is a collaborative process– we will work as a team, building your strengths and moving towards your goals. My approach to therapy is quite Client Centered, Interpersonal, and Solution Focused. I draw heavily on CBT techniques; including DBT and Trauma Focused. Psychological pundits who resonate with me include Melody Beattie and Brené Brown.
