About Me
In looking to develop your best life, you may be hoping to find a safe place to garner strength for your journey. I am here to provide support for individuals who want to overcome barriers to creating their best self and build a life worth living. I believe in meeting someone where they are at, honoring their story, and listening for the strengths as well as the pain. I believe that a key factor in addressing life’s problems is in using the place of strength to build new foundations.
I received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Georgia State University. I specialize in providing support for many issues including substance use recovery, identity development, managing negative emotions, and adapting to life’s changes. My experience includes providing services in a behavioral health hospital, day treatment for severe and persistent mental illness, and residential addiction treatment. I have specialized in providing treatment for professionals experiencing addiction and provided advocacy with monitoring boards.
I believe in your ability to find your own voice and build your future, and I look forward to being an effective part of your growth process. I typically use an Integrative approach garnering interventions from several evidenced based therapies. Additionally, I am trained in creative approaches such as Experiential and Expressive Arts Therapies.
