About Me

Sometimes life does not go as planned. I have a desire to help people navigate the difficulties they never thought they would encounter. I start by providing a safe space to listen and hear your story. My practice is a partnership with the patient to develop a road to healing and healthy living.

After working in the business world and raising three children, I felt the call to help people and I went back to school to become a social worker. I received my BA in Psychology and Masters of Social Work from Aurora University in Aurora, Il. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Grief Counselor. My experience includes counseling in both Hospice and Addiction Recovery Centers. I have extensive experience working with clients at the most fragile and difficult times of their lives. My specialties include coping skills, anxiety, depression, Bipolar disorder, grief, and addiction recovery. In therapy, one size does not fit all and I utilize different therapy modalities depending upon the individual’s needs.

People are stronger than they realize. I work with my clients to recognize their strengths and draw upon those resources to improve the quality of their life and their relationships. I provide a safe space for people to explore and heal from trauma. I am a good listener and treat all my clients with dignity, respect, and compassion.
