Selena Colston, L.C.S.W.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Georgia. I have over 20 years of experience working in a variety of settings with many different populations. I have worked with clients dealing with depressive and anxiety disorders and many other life concerns such as phase of life transitions, parenting, grief/loss, substance use and homelessness.
My counseling stance provides warmth, compassion, and understanding. I believe in helping clients with dealing with their struggles, not defining themselves by their diagnosis. Coping and managing distress is possible, especially when moving towards understanding and knowing values; developing one's purpose and meaning in life can transform you and bring you fulfillment. I most times utilize Solution Focused Brief Therapy when working with clients. However, I am well versed in CBT, DBT, and ACT.
As a Social Worker in my early years I had been fortunate enough to work with children and families. In addition to my work with adults, I would love to have the opportunity to provide your child with the hope of the future and assisting them in gaining confidence in themselves and love for life.
Let's work together on your recovery journey. I look forward to your wellness, peace and vitality.
